I’ve had a passion for baking bread since 2015, becoming enthralled by the mystical, time-honored craft that for whatever reason, America seemed to have lost. After some time, baking for friends and family, and then to friends of friends, I started to gain a following, and slowly but surely, the hobby became a side-hustle.

There is No Secret Bakery, I began to say.

DONT come over, fom 9-3 on Saturday. I WONT have fresh baguettes and English muffins. That sort of thing.

The Secret Bakery was a big hit. I guess people like knowing about things they’re not supposed to know about.

Some time later, in a new town but with the same spirit, I was continuing to live in the shadowy underground food scene, selling bread out of my Ferndale home, when a neighbor reported me, and the city shut down my secret operation faster than a hot knife through butter.

But, like any true bread lover, I didn't give up. Instead, I set out on a mission to find a commercial space to open a real bread shop - one where everyone could enjoy my delicious creations without the fear of getting caught.

And that's how we ended up on Livernois, where we can now bake bread without any secrets (shhh). The bread will still be made with the same love and passion as before, and we're excited to share it with everyone in our new community.

So come on down to the bakery and see what all the fuss is about. We promise our bread is worth breaking the law for - but thankfully, you don't have to.
